Her Story
While Glennita was a middle school student she founded the non-profit, America's Guardian Angels. Many supported Glennita, however, her volunteerism caused Glennita to become severely bullied. After months of enduring torment, Glennita was pushed to the idea of taking her life; she is even a survivor of a failed suicide attempt.
At a young age, Glennita's determination to help others led her to better days. To cope with the bullying, Glennita began to write short stories; which resulted in her writing "Tala".
Now, Glennita is an author, speaker, and philanthropist. She has received awards from former Illinois Govenor, Pat Quinn, President Barack Obama, and was named America's Top Youth Volunteer by Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. She has traveled to Mexico and Kenya, for mission trips, to volunteer in orphanages, schools, and villages. Her passion is advocacy for the improvement of several global issues and volunteerism.
Glennita believes the youth is never too young to change the world.
